We have an immediate need for a Cost Accounting Supervisor. In this key position you will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the cost accounting function for the entire global organization. You will act as the liaison between the Lutron Plant Accountants and Corporate Accounting and be responsible for all aspects of the cost accounting function. In this highly visible position your expertise will be challenged as you interface regularly with senior management as well as a wide range of business unit leaders domestically and around the world. |
| Responsibilities |
Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function Manage day to day operations of the existing cost accounting function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis Manage the transition from the existing cost environment to a new standard cost system Development and maintenance of standard costs Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis for one or more sites Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers Define policies and procedures for all cost accounting activities |
| Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an excellent academic record 5+ years progressive experience in accounting management, preferably as a cost accountant in an international manufacturing/distribution organization Strong analytical skills Proven experience in driving process improvement Demonstrated leadership and history of driving change and making a difference Ability to lead, motivate and support accounting team Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with non-accounting professionals
